Most artists, either at private studios or in Art Centers, will be demonstrating their craft – a fabulous way for you to learn about how the work is created, the materials used and the time it takes. And don’t miss this opportunity to purchase a wide range of artwork directly from the artist for yourself or as gifts.

Artists at most Tour locations are raffling a piece of their work. Raffle money funds children's art programs sponsored by Mountain Artists Guild and 'Tis Art Center and Gallery as well as next year's Tour. Raffle tickets may be purchased at any Tour location and used at that location or any other location on the Tour. The winning tickets will be drawn after 4 p.m. on the last day of the Tour

About the Tour

2017 marks the 10th annual Prescot Area Artists' Studio Tour. The Tour, sponsored by Mountain Artists Guild, is a celebration of the arts and the artists in the Prescott Quad-City area. This free, self-guided tour is a 3-day event that commences on the first weekend in October. The tour hours are 10:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. You are welcome to start at any location on the Tour (click here for a list of locations and printable maps).

This year, there are 60 juried artists at 40 private studios.Take this  opportunity to meet these extraordinary artists, enjoy their private studios and view their creative processes in a variety of mediums.

In addition to the artists’ private studios, in 2017 there are 4 Art Centers hosting 38 additional artists. Art Centers are organizations that encourage arts practice and provide the facilities for ongoing art education. The artists exhibiting at each Art Center must meet requirements set by the Center.

If you haven’t taken the Tour before, you might want to start at the Mountain Artists Guild, 228 N Alarcon Street, Prescott where artwork by the Tour’s juried artists is on display. Seeing their artwork may help you decide which studios you want to visit.

Plan to attend the two receptions at Mountain Artists Guild where you can meet the artists:

  • 4th Friday - Friday, September 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Tour Preview - Wednesday, October 4 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Click here for more about the exhibit and receptions.

Have fun as you take the Tour!
